April 2020
DMEA 2020 only internet
Dear newsletter readers,
as previously announced, we would like to take this opportunity to offer a final assessment of the latest developments and the situation regarding the coronavirus outbreak and DMEA.
On Wednesday, 15 April Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and the minister presidents of the German States agreed a ban on staging large events until at least 31 August 2020.
This ban makes it impossible to hold DMEA as previously intended in its physical form in June.
As DMEA 2020 will not be taking place on the exhibition grounds you will naturally receive a full refund on tickets already purchased.
Virtual DMEA 2020
Nevertheless, we are convinced that digitalisation in the healthcare system and communicating this subject remain as topical as ever. For that reason, we wish to provide a corresponding platform with a virtual edition of DMEA.
On 16 June 2020 we will be live streaming selected interviews and talks. Both these and other programme items will be available online over the days to follow. From 16 to 18 June we will also be hosting webinars and virtual product presentations. By making the virtual programme publicly available and free of charge for viewers everywhere we hope to enable a high level of participation.
The programme of the virtual DMEA is scheduled to be available in early June 2020
